• Apply a cold compress: This helps reduce mild redness or swelling.
• Watch for irritation: In very rare cases, someone might have a mild allergic reaction. If redness or itching worsens over 24–48 hours, seek medical advice.

Preventing Ladybug Bites in Your Home

Although ladybugs are beneficial insects that eat garden pests, they sometimes enter houses in large numbers during cooler months. To keep them—and their occasional nips—out of your living space:

• Seal gaps and cracks: Use weather stripping or caulk around windows, doors, and foundations.
• Install screens: Fit fine-mesh screens on vents and windows to block tiny insects.
• Light traps or vacuums: Instead of handling ladybugs by hand, gently vacuum them or use a light trap to relocate them outdoors.
